We can rebuild him, we have the technology...better, stronger, faster!

Steve Austin 6 million dollar Man intro

ok, so I am not Steve Austin. Not an astronaught, no crash.

3 years ago in 2013 I was preparing for my first Ragnar, I did a month long juice fast, I ran a half marathon...I worked really hard. Since then I have had some of the most stressful years of my life, including a couple of surgeries in the last 6 months, and I have re gained most of the 40 lbs that I lost that year. It is nice to know that even with all this I haven't crossed back over the 300 lb mark, but it is time to start working on this again.

This year I am taking on 2 legs of Doxa, a couple of triathlons, hopefully even one Iron 70.2 distance triathlon.

Gotta get some goals down on paper so that I have something to keep me motivated:

  • Sub 250 lbs (Race wheels have a weight limit of about 115 KG)
  • Complete triathlon of each distance: Super sprint, Sprint, Olympic, Half (stretch goal)
  • Sign up for my first Iron distance Triathlon (IMAZ 2017)
  • Sub 25min 5k
  • Sub 30min mile in the pool
  • Sub 30min 20k Time Trial

Some of these are going to be pretty hard. But I think I can do all of them.
For now it is time to figure out what time I can spend, and how to best use that time to accomplish these goals.

I suspect that I will be doing a lot of HIIT training. The key will be recovery.

For the next 2 weeks, it will be the Barry Ross speed walking Mon, Wed,  and Fri. and I need to get in the pool on Tue, Thur, Sat.

Got to get my calves and ankles ready for some more effort.

as far as nutrition, I am torn between Bulletproof Rapid Fat Loss Protocol and juicing.

I think I am going to start with BRFLP since I have lots of butter and the High Intensity walking is for a short enough duration that it should work very well.

I have tried the Bulletproof Intermittent Fasting and I tolerate it well.

The chiropractor is doing a Slim to Win competition starting next week so I should have a good consistent way to do measurements.
